day 17! and going strong
So I think my skin has started getting to the worse part, I can many more blackheads than usual and some pimples but its not so bad. My lips are really really chapped and peeling, and my skin is sensitive and somewhat red, my eyes are getting really and I look stoned if I dont put visine in them. Sometimes I feel like I'm walking around looking like I fell asleep in a desert, but its not so bad, especially knowing that this is the end of all of my acne, I think I can put up with a few months of this!

day 12
so its day 12 and I'm beginning to notice the normal side effects. My lips have gotten really dry and my eyes have been dry too. I have a head cold right now and I was freaked out at first, but then I realized that it probably is just a normal head cold (I get them when the seasons change) and has nothing to do with the accutane. Even before accutane, I started to get a lot of tension headaches after having caffeine...so hopefully the accutane hasnt been making it worse, I'm gonna cut back on teh caffine and see what happens. soooo tired night!

day 7
Dear blog world,
So it's day 7 on accutane. Nothing new really, just skin is even more lighter, the redness is fading a little more. My skin is still not dry in the slightest, but my lips are getting a little bit more dry. I'm just thirsty a lot, but that could be the change in weather. Yepp, not much to report. But I realized that now I have handed in all of my transfer applications I have nothing to stress out about except for my final project. Wow, I can't believe the semester is almost over!
*just as a side note, I got all scared because I read that accutane causes you to lose bone density, so now I'm going to start taking a multipill(GNC brand "multi mega minerals") with calcium, magnesuim, iron, all that good stuff (except vit. A, of course)

day 4
hey! so I have had an insane week! its crunch time at film school, and I had my project due today, as well as my transfer application and now that all of that is done, I can look fore ward to the other things like my final project and summer internship!!
But you'll hear more about all that later...
So it's day 4 on accutane. I've been feeling good. not depressed AT ALL, in fact I has this like happy/slightly nervous energy. My skin doesn't really feel dry, although it does feel more smooth and lighter as in less redness. I was expecting all of these pimples to come out by now because of how they say it gets worse then better, but I have only had a few and the few I have had were very small and really tight. My lips haven't been chapped at all, which makes me think that maybe the medicine hasn't kicked in yet.
Well that's all for now...

Accutane!
alright kiddos, I've decided to use this blog to record my accutane chronicles.
So I started the pill yesterday after going through so much annoyances to get it! a month waiting period, a couple days later for the ipledge, and even a couple more days later because my insurance hadn't been confirmed. But I finally am on it! woo hoo!
Month 1: 80 mg a day: 40mg 2x a day
day 1: felt great! didn't feel dry at all...and actually noticed my skin getting brighter throughout the day. Although, I didn't want to go to sleep I just had a lot of energy, I'm not sure if that is the accutane, but I don't usually have that kind of energy. This energy was very positive and not in like a hippie way :-p
day 2: its early morning so I can't say too much, but my skin feels really soft, and not dry at all.
Since I've been on the doxycyline during my month waiting period, I haven't had any major whiteheads or breakouts, just old acne that is more under the skin. The under the skin acne is the worst...I don't have it that badly, but even the little bit makes all of the scars and redness so hard to heal. I really REALLY hope my skin gets that cleansing peeling that some people have experienced on accutane...
But anyway no side effects yet except lots of energy for some reason.
Fox out.
